EG Ministries' Board is unique in that it is made up of those who are not necessarily people of high degrees or multiple years of non profit service. Each member has expressed in one way or another their inability to adequately serve. That is just what we want, people who have a heart for the work! We believe strongly that God doesn't necessarily call the qualified but we know He does qualify the called.
Our founding board members are the two ladies who encouraged this ministry from day one. Barbara Goodwin and Marie Endsley.
Mrs. Barb Goodwin is currently retired having worked many years as a business owner and various other professions. She has always been very giving to local and world-wide organizations that served the needs of those who lack the necessities of life.
The late Mrs. Marie Endsley was foundational to the beginning of E G Ministries. She was very supportive of our goals and mission to reach out the needy in our community. She was a pastor's wife and also worked in administrative assistant positions throughout her life. She passed away February 19, 2012 but her vision for E G M still lives on.
Other board members include:
Becky J. Hoxworth - Becky brings many years of valuable financial experience to EGM. She has been extremely helpful in lending her financial knowledge. She too has been with EGM from the beginning and her support has been a driving force in helping propel EGM into what God would have us to be.
Jeanette L. Endsley-Wiebenga - Jeanette is currently the director of EGM. She is the founder of this organization and through God's guidance and wisdom is looking forward to leading EGM into the ministry of reaching out to those in need in the area and meeting our clients where they are to help take them to where they want to be.
Tim A. Wiebenga - Tim's driving factor is to do more than give financially. He desires to use the talents and abilities God has blessed him with to guide EGM into the next step. Tim is a master electrician and has his own business, Wiebenga Electric. He has participated in many disaster relief trips through his church and has a passion for helping those most in need.
Suzanne Reeder - Sue is a CIC and CISR and has worked 25 years in the insurance industry. She brings to the table strong business decision making skills. She has previously been involved in church related projects and Habitat for Humanity building projects. She desires to help particularly in fund raising projects. She attended Axia College, University of Phoenix and majored in Paraprofessional Education. Sue's concern for E G Ministries stems from her mother's passion for helping out the homeless and needy in Northern Michigan. Her mother is Marie Endsley (a founding board member passed away in February) and Sue is interested in maintaining her mother's influence in the Northern Michigan community through involvement with EGM.
We cannot help but mention other "silent members" of our organization. They all are strong advisors and sources of support through their wisdom and knowledge of business.
Daryl and Kay Hartzler, while not actual board members, have been one of our strongest driving forces with their prophetic prayer support, financial support and constant words of encouragement.
Glenn E Goodwin has been with EGM from inception. He was on our original board but has chosen to move into the role of advisor. He worked tirelessly to assist in getting EGM up and running. We welcome his knowledge in many areas of business, his ability to research any topic and his knack for getting to the core of the matter.
